Cyber Serving First Week of November
By: xxx Published: d/m/Y
Transitioning into November means changing ballerinas to boots, velvet hair bows to rib knit balaclavas and easy-to-digest podcasts to heavy print magazines. Here’re some tricks and treats that will get you through the week in serenity and style.
Balenciaga x Adidas Take Over

From taking over the New York Stock Exchange earlier this year, Balenciaga’s Adidas Collection SS23 is about to overtake our closets, and bank accounts – prices are up to $5,500 USD.
The full collection, dropping on Nov. 3 on Balenciaga.com, include equally eye-catching numbers of shoes and accessories in addition to the men’s and women’s runway-debuted garments. One can expect a reimagined take on sportswear ever so slightly different from what was first released in May, with each piece labelled with absolutely attractive collaborative branding.

The unveiling of Balenciaga x Adidas came with styling O Yeong-Su of Squid Game in the collection for his feature in Arena Homme+ Korea. A smart move for making Demna stay up on the headlines even after the astonishing release of the $1800 Lay’s potato chip handbag.

The Smell of You
NEW! The Glossier Scented Candles. In red and baby pink containers, embossed with the trademark logo.
You asked, we listened, said Glossier last week launching their You scented candle to the cheering crowd. The name speaks for itself, at least for the millennium-minded fan base steadily growing since the ”new approach to beauty”-brand made its debut in 2017.
You, but better is Glossier’s famously cosy signature scent. So, what notes make You such a superior aroma? Ambrette seeds, ambrox, pink pepper, fresh iris and musk in a soft and comforting combination. The new, full-size scented candle comes in two different versions; the You in a vivid red vessel and the Orange Blossom Nerolia candle in a baby pink one, both embossed simply with the trademark logo. Yummy!

Top 3 Print Magazines This Week
Surprise 1: We love print magazines at Hobnob.
Surprise 2: Our very own biannual Hobnob Paper is coming together and will be sent to print within days.
Surprise 3: Meanwhile, we’ve created a top 3 magazine list of the best new issue releases right now.
Twin, Issue 27 (Ajok)
Twin is the brainchild of Hobnob favourite Lula Magazine’s ex-creative director Becky Smith. Twin is a hard-backed biannual art, culture and feminist book filled with fashion photography and content by a handpicked international team.
In this issue no 27, Lara Stone (ofc!) is one of the stars, alongside cover model Ajok Madel. Inside, Twin looks at why boobs are in fashion in both the art and style worlds as well as what climactic couture and the new grunge look like fall/winter 2022.

Homme Girls, Issue 08 (Taylor Russell)
Homme Girls is a ready-to-wear brand as well as an biannual magazine that are being creative around ( and capitalise on) the in-between; giving voice to a new tribe of young women- the tomboys- who are refusing to conform to the outdated rules of dressing for women and behaving like women.
This Issue No 8 is, according to the editorial staff itself, nothing less than MEGA. There’s Canadian actress Taylor Russell on the cover. Grace Burns, daughter of Christy Turlington and Ed Burns, that is finally making her debut in front of the camera. And Martine Rose’s new denim collab with Tommy Hilfiger and maby something on the rumours about her picking up where Virgil left off at Louis Vuitton.
BUTT Magazine, Issue 31
For a little more than 20 years BUTT has featured renowned gay artists for gay men and their fans. BUTT was founded by icons Gert Jonkers and Jop van Bennekom and made it’s entry into the print world with the now very famous nude portraits of fashion designer Bernhard Willhelm taken by the amazing Wolfgang Tillmans. The quarterly magazine features interviews and articles, trends and lifestyles within the homosexual and queer community.
Freedom, big or small, is the theme of this autumn issue. To us, that sounds like a hot topic that could inspire even the bigger masses to act against and engage with all discrimination and inequality in the world today.
