What I learned from how to loose a guy in 10 days

In fashion terms I mean. I have not yet been forced to loose a guy in 10 days. I have been able to loose other things in 10 days though, but it has mostly been money and sometimes dignity.

The news of the iconic How to loose a guy in 10 days becoming a TV series was all over the internet when I woke up this morning. I seems that if people the past year has been crazy about redoing 90s series (Sabrina the teenage witch being one of them), we are definitely up to the 00s now with my all-time favorite series Gossip Girl getting a reboot and now the movie who coined *frost yourself*.

However, I did learn something from Kate Hudsons weird romance to Matthew Mcconaughey that didn’t include dating tips. And I can still relate to it.

Twinning is always winning

Or is it? I’d love to have my boyfriend twin with me. Actually that sometimes happen but he always gets super anxious and changes. I have no clue why.

This is a pretty common fashion week move though to catch the street style photographers attention. I always thought it were the danes that invented it but looking back I learn that it really was Benji and Andie.

The greatness of yellow

Yellow has always been that color that no one thinks they look good in, hasn’t it? And I know that just bc Kate Hudson can pull yellow off it doesn’t mean anyone can. But how great is this dress? I am putting a pale yellow satin gown up on my wishlist as of this moment.

Imagine it with some chunky sneakers and an oversize blazer.

This dress actually got quite iconic when the movie premiered, and to quote another 90s-00s icon, I couldn’t help but wonder, will the dress make its way back into the reboot?

The power of the cardigan reincarnated

OMG I CAN’T BELIVE YOU THOUGHT OF IT TOO!! The green cardigan in this editorial meeting at Composure Magazine (which btw is exactly how out edit meetings look at Hobnob……) is everything. I don’t want to say too much, but I believe the 00s tiny cardigan to be the it piece of the season. Andie’s friend and co-worker Michelle pulls it right off with a midi satin skirt and a tote.

THE TANK (since it’s the summer of tanks, we will be getting back to that shortly after this)

It doesn’t get more 2000 than rib tank tops. When I was in middle school my entire closet was tank tops in different colors.

I have this one strong memory of a girl a couple of classes over me. She always had low cut jeans, white rib tanks and a black bra underneath. It was her signature looks and I still look back at it sometimes and think damn that was a good uniform.

Benjamin Barry in Burberry

This was too a very strong look back then. I remember my first Burberry look. It was capri pants and matching top in 100% wool and it felt like rolling around in a wheat field naked. It hated it.

Ben looks flawless though and I am putting a Burberry shirt on the list next to that yellow dress.

Seriously hope they will recreate this scene too bc it’s the ultimate crazy girl moment. Matching Burberry outfits or not. But secretly crossing my fingers for matching outfits too.
