Skin Care 101

Honestly, self isolation and working from home can be the best thing ever. Especially for your skin. You are constantly moisturized, no makeup (cameras in video meetings are overrated), hand cream every other minute and no direct sunlight.
If you need inspiration to up your skin care game, here are some great tips.
I’m using a lot of oils right now and my favorite product is the Rahua Body Oil. After my morning run (ok, power walk) I shower and use this. Just listen; “fast-absorbing, lightweight and deeply hydrating, this restorative oil is filled with omega-3 and omega-9 fatty acids, antioxidants, carotenoids, and vitamins C and E, which work to repair, heal, and moisturize dry skin.”
I feel like Adriana Lima on the beach even though I’m in my small bathroom in Stockholm.
Are you into skincare that is vegan, cruelty free and gives you a glow beyond anything else? Check out the Jet Lag Mask by Summer Fridays that will give you “business class complexion”.
This hydrating mask gives you dewy skin in 10 minutes and the best part, you don’t even have to rinse.
All the disinfectant and antibacterial products that are offered in restaurants, stores and cafés make my hands feel like sandpaper. I always carry the Cool Cucumber Hand Cream by The Body Shop. Shea butter and cucumber, perfect.

The Anti-blemish Cleanser from Skintreat is what the name says basically. With tea tree oil and zinc, spirulina and jojoba oil this bad boy clarifies clogged up pores.
Good Genes might be the best name on a product ever. The glycolic acid treatment from Sunday Riley is a deeply exfoliating treatment with AHA acid. It’s mild but efficient and in combination with the Jet Lag Mask you will look like spring itself.
Work out buddies! If you’re lifting weights, skipping rope, climbing walls, this is for you. Newly launched athletic skincare brand Moss & Noor has developed a After Workout Mousse, boosted with urea and shea butter to fight those pesky calluses. It works wonders. They also have an Antibacterial Hand Spray, perfect for post-workout (or when you use the stretching mat after someone really sweaty).

My last tip is the Exuviance Evening Restorative Complex with vitamin A and E. Before bed, put this on and it will help you fight damaged skin and signs of aging, while you sleep! Exuviance is a medically developed skincare brand for us nerds that demand only the best.
So, in these uncertain times, take good care of yourself. Put on a sheet mask, listen to some whale noises, have a glass of wine and relax. It’s all gonna be alright.
