To socialize or talk informally preferably over a drink. Word forms: 3rd person singular present tense hobnobs, present participle hobnobbing, past tense, past participle hobnobbed.
But honestly. Hobnob is a safe space for women who prefer iced coffee over a perfectly curated wardrobe. It’s is a daycare center for women who are intrigued by trends, but also don’t care. It is an open bar for those who swear on vintage Chanel and whose pension funds hang in their closets.
Everyone that has Tik Tok at least… I haven’t downloaded Tik Tok yet (and I’m not planning to), but a few of my friends are true users. Therefore, I recently got a text from one of them asking me if she should shave her brows off. I was like ?????no??????, the trauma of being twelve years old and using the razor a liiiitlle bit too much still haunts me. But apparently this is the new thing though, and I will tell you why.
We’ve had the cat eye, smoky eye and glossy eye. Now it’s time to welcome yet another one to the family: the fox(y) eye. Seen on Hadid and Jenner, its presence has blown up on instagram, youtube and (to try to get down with the kids) Tik Tok.
Maybe this is the new “cutting bangs at 3AM”?
There are a couple of ways to achieve this look. The first focus is the brows. Whatever you do, make the arch disappear.
Some shave the arch off and some put some glue and concealer on to hide it.
The straight feathery brow is one of the main keys to make the fox look complete. For the final touch brush your brows upwards, using a brow gel or soap.
Next up is the eyeliner. Make it faded, defined or colorful. The sky is the limit.
The whole purpose of this is to lift your eyes and brows, so work with upwards motions with the eyeliner as well. And actually that is all you need to do in order to achieve the look. Are you gonna pick up the razor??
